Accountants
play a key role in the formulation and implementation
of business decisions, both strategic and tactical,
through their uniquely analytical approach to the assessment
of the financial implications of business plans. As
specialist managers who see the whole business, they
are well placed to progress to general management positions
and to advise at the highest levels of commercial activity.
Accounting for Management (AFM) focuses on the crucial
role which financial information plays in decisions
made by management teams, and in the monitoring and
planning of organizational objectives.
This program will provide you with the knowledge and
skills you'll need to enter the fields of public, private
sector, corporate and governmental accounting, or to
pursue advanced degrees in accounting, business or law.
For public accounting, you'll also need to pass the
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) examination.
